Our Farmers (cont)

farmer1Crystal Organics: Nicolas Donck was one of the pioneer farmers who helped to set up the Morningside Farmers’ Market in Atlanta ten years ago. The market started out small, a good match for the small, organic farm he was developing. Nicolas and his wife, Madeline Rains, run Crystal Organic Farm with the help of their children, Gillen and Jesse. You’ll recognize their sweet red peppers in our pimento cheese. Located in Newborn, GA

Garmon Family Farm: Garmon Family Farm is a small family farm best known for their Blueberries located approximately 1 hour west of Atlanta, GA. We rely on Garmon Family Farm’s fresh eggs to keep us going through our popular weekend brunch. It isn’t unheard of to go through 45 dozen eggs on a standard Sunday. Located in Whitesburg, GA

Springer Mountain Farms: Springer Mountain Farms is a family owned business that has been raising chickens for over 40 years. They became the first company in America to raise poultry on an all vegetable diet without the use of antibiotics or chemical medicines. We use Springer Mountain chicken for our classic fried chicken. Located in Mt. Airy, GA

Not in Georgia but We Still Love:

Foley Fish: The Foley Fish Company is a fourth generation family-owned fish company in Boston. Foley supplies us with our Bay of Fundi salmon, Peekytoe crab, Georges Bank’s scallops and Blue Hill bay mussels. Located in Boston, MA

Benton’s Smoky Mountain Country Hams: Allan Benton and his employees have honed the dry-curing of hams and bacon into a culinary art and have catapulted the products from a simple breakfast mainstay into the world of gourmet cooking. We use Allan’s smoked bacon and country ham in several of our dishes. When they make a delivery even the UPS man smells like smoke. Located in Madisonville, TN
